Deep Dive Into Naadam Cashmere - Everything You Need to Know

If there’s one thing that we’ve all learned from being in quarantine, it’s that we can never have too many sets of at-home clothes that we feel great in. In the past year I’ve partnered with so many amazing brands, upping my cozy clothes tenfold -- one of which being Naadam, which you have probably seen on my Instagram or in other blog posts.

Because I am constantly talking about and getting questions about Naadam, I wanted to create a resource to turn to for all of my favorite Naadam pieces that I will continue to update on a regular basis, and a place to answer the most frequently asked questions that I get about Naadam. Please note that this article will be updated each season with new picks. As always, make sure to use code MORGAN20 for 20% off of your Naadam orders when shopping through the links in this article.*

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

What is the price point for Naadam? $50-400, depending on the article of clothing and the fabric blend.

How is the sizing? Naadam fits true to size for the most part, but when between sizes, I recommend sizing down. I order a size small in almost everything, and an XS in tops to keep them form-fitting. Christian is usually in between a medium and large in most clothing, and opts for the medium in Naadam.

How do you wash your Naadam pieces? I am hesitant to buy cashmere because of the upkeep! Naadam actually doesn’t encourage you to dry clean your pieces because of the harmful chemicals that many dry cleaners use. I use The Laundress Cashmere & Wool Soap in my washing machine only washing with other cashmere and wool pieces, and I swear my clothes come out even softer. Only air-dry your cashmere to avoid shrinking!

How does Naadam compare to Everlane, Ralph Lauren, or Madewell cashmere? As the story goes, I only knew Ralph Lauren cashmere my entire life until about 3 years ago. I was lucky enough that my mom worked for Ralph Lauren for several years, granting us the employee discount, and blessing us with cashmere sweaters galore throughout our childhoods. It wasn’t until I was buying my own cashmere that I realized how expensive it was, even with the discount. Naadam cashmere is softer, comes many more styles, and is the fairest priced cashmere that I have found (Madewell, Everlane, and RL cashmere all starts at $100 for the basic crewneck sweater, where as Naadam’s Essential Sweater is $75).

If you could only choose a few pieces of Naadam, what would they be? When I started investing in better clothes that were thus a little more expensive, I started with the things that I already wear all the time -- a classic crewneck sweater, an easy dress, and a pair of joggers that I can hang around the house in or travel in on overnight flights. That said, nothing is more rewarding than slipping into a full cashmere tracksuit at the end of the day. Think of Naadam as elevated basics -- what do you wear the most that you can replace with a better version?
